About Epiphany West…
CDSP will be taking a hiatus from our annual Epiphany West conference this year in order to offer the St. Margaret's Symposium. We are excited to offer this inspiring event while we take the year to consider how we might reshape Epiphany West in the future. Please watch for opportunities to give us your views and opinions about Epiphany West and we look forward to seeing you January 27-28, 2011 for the St. Margaret's Symposium.

  • Continuing Education
  • All of CALL's programs are dedicated to providing lifelong learning and continuing education for congregations, their members, and their leaders. Whether on line, in a conference, or in a summer or January class, CALL aims to strengthen the spiritual life, leadership, ministry, and mission of the Church.

    Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

CALL programs offer CEU credit. Each CEU represents 10 hours of course contact and study. Please indicate on the registration form if you wish to receive CEUs. Upon completion of required course work and the instructor's recommendation, you will receive a certificate awarding you the designated CEU credits.

    Auditing Courses

CDSP faculty welcomes you to consider attending a course at the seminary. January Intersession courses are designed specifically to bring together seminary students and current church professionals. But clergy and lay leaders are also welcome to audit courses during the Fall and Spring semesters. With the instructor's permission, auditors can attend one course each semester during the academic year.

Tuition: $310 per January intersession course
$450 per Fall or Spring semester course
      Continuing Education Credit only

    Sabbatical Study

What a great location for sabbatical! CDSP offers on-campus housing (and meals during the academic year), consultations with faculty, opportunities to audit courses, daily chapel, and one of the best theological libraries in the country. And all this in an inviting community in a location known for its cultural attractions! Whether you have a week or an entire semester, both clergy and lay leaders from around the country and the world have found that CDSP is an excellent location for spending a sabbatical. Costs vary, depending on length of stay and study plan.

To learn more about auditing courses or sabbatical study, contact Andrew Rorabaugh, Academic Administrative Assistant, at 510-204-0731 or arorabaugh@cdsp.edu for details.

    Doctor of Ministry

CDSP's Doctor of Ministry program is a unique academic program offered cooperatively with the Pacific School of Religion and designed for experienced lay and clergy professionals. Guided by their advisors, D.Min. students tailor programs of study to fit their unique interests. The program is designed to be completed in three years (extensions may be granted). One semester in residence, or the part-time equivalent, is required. Course work may be taken at any of the nine seminaries of the Graduate Theological Union—five within a few blocks of CDSP—and one course may be taken at another graduate-level school.

      Requirements for the D.Min.:

      • M.Div. degree or its equivalent
      • At least three years of full-time ministry after receiving the M.Div. degree
      • Six three-unit courses, including the D.Min. seminar (at least five of which must be taken at CDSP/GTU)
      • Integrative Review (after six courses are completed)
      • Two thesis courses
      • D.Min. thesis project and oral defense

Contact Sue Singer, Director of the D.Min. program for more information. You may reach her at ssinger@cdsp.edu or 510-204-0729.
