Let me introduce to you many of the members of the Graduating Class of 2008 from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific. In this booklet you will see how gifted and talented these individuals are and how varied their life experiences are as they offer themselves to the church. Along with personal contact information, there is a narrative statement, an abbreviated resume, and a picture of each of these students.
Most have been or soon will be ordained to the diaconate, some are still in process in their parishes and dioceses, and a few seek lay ministry opportunities. They are ready and eager to grow and strengthen the church in the 21st century.
CDSP, dioceses, parishes, clergy and lay mentors, and institutions and communities of all kinds have helped prepare these students by giving them the tools and resources needed for ministry in today’s world. We now give them to you and ask that you share this information widely especially with those who have positions that might match the gifts and talents of these wonderful students. They may all be contacted directly or through me and my office.
Please pray for them all as they enter this new period of transition and discernment that God may be with them and continue to pray for CDSP and her mission and ministry in preparing new leaders for a world full of challenges and possibilities.
